Sharing my QueuePosted: August 15, 2012
Yesterday I was annoyed with the fact the Netflix has zero social sharing options. Even if you are managing your queue online you can’t share it with your friends. I believe that film should be shared experience (to steal a tagline from the Indy Film Fest…) Generally speaking once I watch a movie I want to talk about it, sometimes for days, weeks, or even months. I was browsing Netflix and I like how it gives a “best guess” on whether or not you will like it, but what if it could show my friends rating? Or a two sentence review from them?
To get the ball rolling I have decided to share my current Netflix queue, and share my recommendations for what I recently watched:
“Winter’s Bone” (2010)
“Half Nelson” (2006)
“Exit Through the Gift Shop” (2010)
“The Fighter” (2010)
“Tiny Furniture” (2010)
“Being Elmo: a Puppeteers Journey” (2011) The story of how a young kid in Harlem eventually become the man behind Elmo. Heartwarming and sweet. If you want to see that there are still good people in the world watch this documentary.
“Following” (1998), Dir by Christopher Nolan, his first feature film. Amazing to see the beginnings of what he has now become. I am not a “fangirl” or anything, I just think he is one of the few directors in Hollywood who believes the people in the audience have a brain. We don’t just want to stare at pretty pictures, we want to be challenged.
