Looking Forward

Some of the movies I am excited about for the rest of 2012, excluding December because I can’t bare to look at it now that “The Great Gatsby” is gone.

Celeste and Jesse Forever (2012) August 3 (limited)

Hopefully not a typical “quirky” romantic comedy.

Looper (2012) September 28th

Written by Rian Johnson, who has written a couple of Breaking Bad episodes, Looper has an interesting premise and an interesting cast. I have only seen the trailer so I don’t know how much buzz has been generated, but it looks like it is worth a shot. Although Joseph Gordon-Levitt looks weird with Bruce Willis’ nose.

Killing Them Softly (2012) October 19th

Looks like something I might be interested in. I like this Brad Pitt way better than Moneyball Brad Pitt.

Anna Karenina (2012)

This movie looks beautiful. I am currently reading the book and hope that the massive source material has been condensed well.

Which are you most excited about?

LOOPER is getting a crap load of attention out here! JGL has really come into his own recently, and his last turn with Johnson was almost career defining (BRICK (2005)). ANNA KARENINA looks amazing as well! Also looking very much forward to COSMOPOLIS!

Everytime I see the trailer for Les Mis I start crying. To say I’m excited about it would be an understatement.
